DriSteem Vapor-logic® Touch Screen Control and RTS Humidifier RX Series
Looking to build on their reputation as the humidification experts by supporting customers' unique commercial, health care, industrial, and process-critical applications, DriSteem worked with us to bring a touch-screen UI to their Vapor-logic software as well as designing an all new RTS Humidifier RX Series of humidifiers. The result is a compact, elegant, cabinet-style resistive-to-steam humidifier ideal for any application where reliable humidity control is needed.
Design Research
We worked closely with the DriSteem team to gain a deep understanding of their current product line and competitors. This research was used to guide our designs to best address the user needs, product functionality, and manufacturing requirements as well as meeting the branding and marketing goals. Mood Boards were developed to provide form, detail, and interaction inspiration to develop a variety of concepts.
Industrial Design
Our research-inspired outcomes provide a range of form and function along with detailed consideration for manufacturing and assembly. Options, iteration, and context consideration are always driving principles in our development process.
UI-UX
Working with the team at DriSteem, our process began with a flow diagram to layout all the required information, settings and controls. We then generated wireframes of the primary screens to establish a clear overview of the page structure, layout, information architecture, flow, functionality, and intended behaviors. A variety of aesthetic options were presented from which DriSteem was able to choose a direction for refinement. Ultimately, we delivered all the necessary assets along with an implementation guide.
